HRI Experiment
Simulator_

Technical Narrative

The HRI Experiment Simulator is a high-fidelity alternative to physical robotics laboratories. By integrating Unreal Engine 5 with ROS 2, I am developing a system that bridges the gap between robotic behavior design and human-centric evaluation.

Autonomous Logic

Native ROS 2 integration allows for deployment of real navigation stacks directly into the visual engine for authentic decision-making loops.

Human Interaction

Support for "Wizard of Oz" style puppeteering, allowing researchers to manually influence robot responses during live interactions.

Asset Porting

Custom pipeline developed to ingest URDF and XacRO models directly from Gazebo environments while maintaining physical joint constraints.

VR Interaction

Captures millisecond-accurate behavioral data, including human spatial boundaries and gaze, in an immersive 1:1 scale environment.
